For example, the proper timeline for the cinematic X-Universe is:

  1. X-Men: First Class
  2. The past part of Days of Futures Past
  3. X-Men: Origins – Wolverine (Couldn’t they just pretend this didn’t happen?)
  4. X-Men
  5. X-2
  6. X-3
  7. The Wolverine
  8. The future part of Days of Futures Past
